Monday 3 May
Arrival
Settle into La Posada and meet the group over a welcome dinner.
Tuesday 4 May
Canillas de Albaida
Explore architectural line and wash through village streets, doorways and façades. Learn to simplify shapes and combine expressive lines with fresh watercolour.
Wednesday 5 May
Cómpeta
Paint Cómpeta’s architecture, exploring composition and perspective. Afterwards, enjoy a winery visit, four wines with tapas and a guided village walk.
Thursday 6 May
Frigiliana
Capture whitewashed buildings, winding streets and light and shadow in line and wash. Discover the village’s history and local life on a guided walk.
Friday 7 May
Árchez
Develop your architectural painting through Árchez’s minaret tower and decorative details. Return to the villa for a guided tasting of four local extra virgin olive oils with bread, followed by a farewell dinner.
Saturday 8 May
Departure
Breakfast, goodbyes and arranged airport transfers.

I’m Jurga, an artist and watercolour tutor. My teaching brings clear foundations together with room to experiment. You can ask questions, try again and develop a way of painting that feels like yours.
Your learning can continue when you get home, with feedback on your work for up to a year.

Yes. Beginners and experienced painters are welcome. Demonstrations and individual guidance help you work at your own level.
When is the retreat, and how much will we paint?
3–8 May 2027. Four architectural line-and-wash painting days, on 4–7 May, with guided village visits and tastings.
Are professional grade painting materials provided?
All professional grade painting materials provided, included in the retreat price.
Can I come on my own?
Yes. Solo travellers are welcome. Ask Reconnect Journeys about room choices and current availability.
What is not included?
Flights, personal travel insurance and personal spending are separate. Check arrival arrangements with Reconnect Journeys before booking travel.
Who handles the booking?
